5. Green Bay Packers (6)

Aaron Rodgers really hasn’t made a lot of noise this season but he’s still just steadily guiding the Green Bay Packers to wins. They’re now 3-0 after knocking off the Denver Broncos in a 27-16 win at home. This comes after back-to-back wins over NFC North rivals as the Pack beat the Chicago Bears in Week 1 and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.

They’re also starting to look more comfortable in the offense being run by first-year head coach Matt LaFleur. The former Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator had been gaining notoriety in recent years for his play-calling and work with quarterbacks, which had fans excited about the prospect of him working with one of the best signal-callers in the game.

With so much attention being paid to what LaFleur and Rodgers could do together, it seems as though their biggest moves were overlooked. The Packers offense was going to be good no matter what since Rodgers is under center. However, they were able to make some big moves on defense as they added some new pass rushers in Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith via free agency and Rashan Gary in the draft.

In this game, they combined for six sacks on Joe Flacco, with Preston Smith netting three, Za’Darius getting two, and the rookie adding one. As long as they keep performing at a high level, Green Bay should be able to fight for the NFC North crown.
