29. Denver Broncos (26)

The Joe Flacco era is not going very well at all. The Denver Broncos have been struggling to find a replacement to Peyton Manning for years and general manager John Elway looks to have struck out once again. First, it was with Brock Osweiler, who he drafted in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

An Arizona State product, Osweiler left after four seasons behind Manning and proved quickly to be underwhelming at the position. There was also Paxton Lynch, a first-round selection that couldn’t beat out Trevor Siemian or Case Keenum. They then shipped Keenum off and added Flacco in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, the veteran quarterback has gone 0-3 as the starter as Denver just lost again. This time it was the Green Bay Packers who won 27-16. At a glance, Flacco’s stats don’t seem terrible in this one but he held the ball far too long and was sacked six times.

More concerning was the fact that the Broncos once-feared pass rush couldn’t generate any sacks once again. That’s the third week in a row as they now enter Week 4 with zero team sacks, something no one saw coming. That seems like an indictment of new head coach Vic Fangio because there clearly are some talented players on this defense, but they’re not getting home.
