26. Pittsburgh Steelers (19)

No one expected the Pittsburgh Steelers to start the season 0-3 but that’s exactly where they stand after falling to the San Francisco 49ers 24-20 on Sunday. Of course, they’ve also had some unfortunate breaks go against them as well so far.

Star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was dealing with some discomfort in his elbow and then reaggravated the injury last week, which led to him needing surgery. That put him on the IR, and paved the way for Mason Rudolph to take over as the starter for the 2019 season.

A third-round pick out of Oklahoma State last year, Rudolph beat out Josh Dobbs who was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars following the injury suffered by Nick Foles. In his first start, Rudolph wasn’t terrible but managed just 174 yards on 14-of-27 passing with two touchdowns and a pick.

It’s weird watching this team without Big Ben and this comes after seeing other stars such as Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown leave as well this offseason — although Bell never showed up in 2018.

It’s a new feeling for Mike Tomlin and company being at the bottom of the AFC North but they do have a chance to develop some of their younger players, which may be the lone bright spot at this point.
