The Cleveland Browns offensive line has been a disaster to begin the 2019 season and these possible trade targets could help the problem.

You can’t look anywhere right now without finding criticism of the Cleveland Browns after the first three weeks of the 2019 NFL season. However, that’s for good reason. This team entered the year with all the hype in the world behind them and they’ve flopped tremendously to this point, posting just a 1-2 record and their lone win coming against a winless Jets team.

The even worse news for the Browns is that things aren’t going to get easier over the next few weeks. Cleveland goes on the road to Baltimore in Week 4 then across the country to play San Francisco the following week. And while they come home and get a long week to play on Monday Night Football in Week 6, they play against a tough Seahawks team before their bye. After the bye, it’s a trip to Gillette to play the Patriots.

If the Browns are going to make the playoffs as many predicted they would, they have to make changes to this team. One of those big changes is certainly that quarterback Baker Mayfield needs to perform better.

The second-year quarterback, who was lights out and exciting as a rookie, has been awful to start the year. He’s rushing and looks uncomfortably with virtually every snap and has made questionable throws on numerous occasions. For this team to succeed, the young star quarterback must improve his play.

At the same time, however, the Browns need to try and help Mayfield. Cleveland’s offensive line, which was circled as a potential issue entering the 2019 campaign, has indeed been that through the first three weeks. This group hasn’t done their quarterback any favors by allowing a lot of pressure to break through and get into his face.

So while Mayfield must get better, the Browns could also stand to make some moves on the offensive line. And in that regard, general manager John Dorsey could look to get aggressive on the trade market. These are three trade targets that could help improve the Cleveland Browns offensive line.
