Fantasy Football: Waiver wire adds for Week 4
Wide Receiver
Mecole Hardman, Chiefs (44.8 percent owned) – Make no mistake, Mecole Hardman is not going to be a target monster in the Chiefs offense. What matters is that, for fantasy football owners, he doesn’t need to be. With just 11 targets and six catches over the past two weeks, Hardman still has 158 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a monstrous big-play threat playing in the NFL’s best offense. Add him and watch him burn defenses at least once per game.
D.J. Chark, Jaguars (41.0 percent owned) – Three games in a row is a trend and D.J. Chark’s production is a trend. The Jaguars wide receiver’s 17.6 points in fantasy football was actually his lowest output in the first three weeks. Chark is now WR8 in fantasy to this point on the season, clearly having the trust of the offense and Gardner Minshew on the whole.
Phillip Dorsett, Patriots (11.4 percent owned) – Now that Antonio Brown is officially gone from the Patriots, you can start trusting Phillip Dorsett to actually get consistent work. Even with his targets reduced in Week 2, Dorsett is still the WR18 through the first three weeks of the 2019 season. If he’s available, fantasy football owners shouldn’t hesitate to add him.
Diontae Johnson, Steelers (1.8 percent owned) – Mason Rudolph isn’t inspiring much confidence after his debut in Pittsburgh. Moreover, Johnson may have only had three catches for 52 yards on Sunday with his scoring boosted by a touchdown. Having said that, the rookie out of Toledo had his highest number of targets (6) this season with Rudolph at quarterback, which is intriguing since Rudolph isn’t going anywhere.
