Tight End

Jordan Akins, Texans (0.3 percent owned) – Houston’s Jordan Akins only has six catches on the year, which isn’t good. However, he’s averaging 19.2 yards per reception with those grabs and had two touchdowns to boost his stock in Week 3. He’s likely going to be a risky play but Akins has boom-or-bust tight end written all over him and owners could take a gamble on him.

Will Dissly, Seahawks (27.3 percent owned) – Is Will Dissly ever going to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL? Absolutely not. Having said that, he’s the eighth-ranked tight end in PPR scoring through three weeks. With 12 targets and three touchdowns over the past two weeks, the Seattle tight end is going to have a role in the offense and fantasy football owners should capitalize.

Dawson Knox, Bills (0.3 percent owned) – Buffalo rookie Dawson Knox had a breakout game in Week 3, catching three of his four targets for 67 yards and a touchdown and adding a nine-yard carry. He’s more of a wait-and-see waiver wire player right now as he just has the one week but he’s an athletic talent whose role could grow as he gets acclimated to the NFL.

Jason Witten, Cowboys (46.2 percent owned) – Old Man Witten isn’t going to be a 20-point per week player. However, the veteran tight end continues to be utilized in the Cowboys high-octane offense, averaging 10.5 points in fantasy football and four targets per game. He’s going to get work and is a red zone threat in an offense that’s going to keep scoring a lot this season.
