Chicago Bears: 5 Bold predictions vs. Vikings, Week 4
After a “get-good” game against Washington, the Chicago Bears hope to continue their success. Here are five bold predictions for the game.
Well, that game against Washington was fun. The Chicago Bears got to fix a lot of things that hampered the offense this season. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky put in a good effort and game, though he still made some of the same maddening mistakes. At least he kept the mistakes at a minimum.
After enjoying that game for a day, it’s time to forget Washington and move on to their next opponent. The Bears host division rival Minnesota Vikings. Both teams are 2-1 and both already lost close games to the Green Bay Packers.
Whoever loses this game falls further behind in the division. If it’s the Bears, it’ll be difficult to come back when they lose two games at home to division rivals. They’ll have to come back and win on the road, in addition to playing a tough non-divisional schedule.
Hopefully, the Washington game gives the Bears momentum going into a big game. They got more of the receivers involved in the offense, and having David Montgomery close the game out on the ground is very encouraging.
Some might be concerned that Montgomery wasn’t given enough touches throughout the game, but I feel that will come. He had a good game on the ground and in the passing game. He caught all three of his targets. As the season progresses he’ll definitely get more touches.
Washington has a horrible defense and it helped the Bears, but now they face a tough Vikings defense. If Trubisky and the offense can do something against this defense then we might be able to erase the negativity from the first two weeks of the season.
