1. D.K. Metcalf has a career day

While he hasn’t been tearing up the league, Metcalf’s career is off to an exciting start. The explosive rookie is averaging 72.3 receiving yards per game and has quickly become Russell Wilson‘s second-favorite target.

For someone who stands 6-4 and weighs 229 pounds, Metcalf is surprisingly quick. He’s already proven his ability to take the roof off of defenses. His 24.1 yards per reception are the third-most amongst players with at least three receptions. His speed is problematic for larger defensive backs, but his size makes it easy to catch passes over smaller defensive backs.

So far, Metcalf has been everything Seattle hoped he would be. Lockett has also benefited from Metcalf’s presence. The speedy receiver is off to the best start of his career, averaging 7.3 receptions and 92.3 receiving yards per game.

Lockett currently has the seventh-most receptions in the NFL with 22 and is tied for the eighth-most receiving yards with Evan Engram at 277. If his production continues, Lockett is looking at a Pro Bowl year.

Arizona’s secondary is practically defenseless without their leader, Patrick Peterson. The Panthers and their backup quarterback had their way with the Cardinals last week. Coming off of a loss, expect the Seahawks to give the Cardinals similar headaches.

While Lockett will have his fair share of targets, Arizona has the worst secondary Metcalf will have faced at this point. All it takes is a few deep throws to get Metcalf’s numbers up. Expect Seattle to try to knock Arizona out of the game early with a couple of home-run plays to Lockett and Metcalf.
