3. Sanders notches 100 total yards, first NFL touchdown

Through their first three games, Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Miles Sanders is their leading rusher. However, it should be noted that’s not exactly an impressive feat at this point. The Penn State product is leading the rushing attack with 34 carries for 106 yards and no touchdowns, though he has added six receptions for 84 yards on the year to this point.

It’s worth noting, however, that Sanders is coming off of the best game of his young career. In the Eagle’s Week 3 loss to the Lions, the rookie rushed 13 times for 53 yards (the first time he’s averaged over 3.0 yards per carry in a game this year) while catching two passes for 73 yards on the day as well.

At times, it takes rookie running backs a little while to really get going, to get used to the speed of the pro level. With his strongest performance of the year coming just last week, you have to believe that might be happening for Sanders. Moreover, he’s facing a Green Bay defense that, though impressive, has been susceptible to the run.

Both Dalvin Cook and Phillip Lindsay had monster days against this Packers defensive unit. Subsequently, that could open the door for Sanders to have the best day of his career. He’ll have a career-high in rushing, will total more than 100 total yards on the day and, perhaps most importantly, will find the end zone for the first time in his career.
