1. Packers are still a Super Bowl contender

Despite all of the things that the Green Bay Packers need to work on coming off of their first loss of the 2019 season, they are still a Super Bowl contender. When you look at all of the pieces on this roster and think about their top-end potential, they have all of the moving parts necessary to be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in Miami come early February.

Rodgers finally showed that this offense has another gear to hit on Thursday night, throwing for over 400 yards on the night after not throwing for more than 240 yards in any of the first three games of the year. It just so happened that it came on a night when the Green Bay defense played their worst game of the young season.

However, when you look at Rodgers’ ability, the potential of the running game to get going against better matchups than a tough Eagles run defense and the defense’s talent level and what that could mean when they develop more cohesion and consistency, this team’s upside is them being a dominant force that can win on both sides of the ball.

Yes, it’s unfortunate to see the Packers drop a game when they are playing in a loaded NFC and, more specifically, NFC North. Having said that, there are still 12 more games in the season and Green Bay is going to win the hefty majority of those and make the playoffs. If they get things right, don’t remotely question the Super Bowl potential of this team.
