3. Teddy Bridgewater

Two weeks in a row, Teddy Bridgewater has made my list for players who need to have a big game but it makes sense. Last week, we didn’t have any clue if Bridgewater was going to put up similar numbers to when they played the Rams or have a drastic improvement. Thankfully in Week 3, Bridgewater played infinitely better and helped to give the team a lot more confidence since losing Drew Brees.

Heading into Week 4, it’s time for Bridgewater to show us that Week 2 was a fluke and that the showdown with Dallas is going to be similar to Week 3.

Looking at last week, Bridgewater threw for two touchdowns along with 342 passing yards and completed 19 of his 27 passes. It wasn’t a perfect game, but it was enough to stop all of us from hitting the panic button especially after his showing against the Rams.

To beat the Cowboys, Bridgewater has to step up his game a bit more including not relying on Brees’ favorite targets as they’re going to be covered heavily. He also has to try to get the ball out quickly especially if DeMarcus Lawrence is coming at him.

The main key to victory against the Cowboys is getting an early lead as Dak Prescott and company have struggled in the first half of this season. Getting Bridgewater to throw a touchdown pass or two early will stifle the Cowboys quick and put the pressure on them rather than the Saints.
