The Philadelphia Eagles pulled out a crucial Week 4 win as they outlasted the Packers on Thursday night. Studs and duds for the Eagles in the victory.

To say that the Philadelphia Eagles needed a win on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 would be an understatement. They went on the road to Lambeau Field with just a 1-2 record and, to make matters more difficult, the Eagles were up against an undefeated Green Bay Packers team and trailing the 3-0 Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East as well.

Early on, things looked a bit problematic for Philadelphia. The offense couldn’t fully get rolling while the defense had no answer for Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Green Bay jumped out to a 10-0 lead but then the Eagles were jump-started.

Carson Wentz and the offense capitalized off of a huge Miles Sanders kick return to score and make it 10-7. They then took the lead after holding Green Bay to another field goal and orchestrating an impressive 11-play, 60-yard touchdown drive. After recovering a Rodgers sack-fumble, they made it 21-13, though the Packers answered just before halftime.

It was more of a grind in the second half as the Eagles scored early but then allowed Green Bay to tie it up at 27 after they missed a two-point conversion attempt. However, Sanders and Jordan Howard continued to control the game late as they answered to take back the lead, 34-27.

Finally, it was the Philadelphia defense that came up big, making a four-down stand from the 1-yard line to blank Green Bay and then stopping a final drive with a red zone interception to seal the victory.

It wasn’t all pretty for the Eagles but they got the job done to move to 2-2 on the season and stay alive in the early NFC playoff race. But again, it wasn’t all good as there were some poor performances throughout the night. With that in mind, let’s allocate some studs and duds from the Philadelphia Eagles in their massive road win over the Packers.
