2. Chubb gets over the 100-yard hurdle

Amidst all of the troubles that the Cleveland Browns have endured so far this season, running back Nick Chubb has been a bright spot for them. Expected to have a true breakout 2019 season after being hamstrung by the coaching staff for much of last season, Chubb has been the most consistent part of the Browns offense early on with rushing totals of 75, 62 and 96 yards on the year, though he’s only found the end zone once.

Given the Browns struggles on the offensive line, it’s not surprising that Chubb hasn’t fully been able to break loose. At the same time, though, it speaks to the immense talent of the Georgia product that he’s been able to enjoy the success he has to this point running behind a group that has struggled to start the 2019 season.

As mentioned when talking about Baker Mayfield, everyone in Cleveland has to hope that Freddie Kitchens simply starts calling smarter games. That surely involves more quick passes to set up longer throws down the field but that will also be helped by getting Chubb better and smarter looks throughout the game.

Also as previously discussed, I’m jumping on board that Kitchens finally shows to show his value in Week 4 and that lets Chubb break free against a Ravens run defense that has been average through the first three weeks. After coming so close last week, Chubb will eclipse the 100-yard mark for the first time in the 2019 season.
