Not only do the Miami Dolphins land Tua Tagovailoa in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft at Week 4 but they add protection for their quarterback, as do the Browns.

Coming into Week 4, you’d still be hard-pressed to find any 2020 NFL Mock Draft that doesn’t have the Miami Dolphins taking Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 1 overall pick. He’s arguably the top prospect in the class playing the most valuable position in the league. Naturally, given the talent-baren Fins that player makes the most sense.

Yes, Josh Rosen made his first start for the Dolphins last week against the Dallas Cowboys. And in truth, the top-10 pick from the 2019 NFL Draft that Miami traded for this offseason looked fine given the circumstances. However, there’s no chance that the Fins don’t come out in 2020 and get a player like Tua.

What’s interesting for the Dolphins is what they do after that. While some needs are easy to define in an NFL Mock Draft, such as with the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and even New England Patriots.

In the case of Miami, though, they have depleted their resources on the roster so drastically that the franchise can go in a multitude of directions with their other two first-round picks. The Pittsburgh Steelers pick that the Dolphins acquired in the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade and the Houston Texans pick they got from dealing Laremy Tunsil can also bring building blocks to South Beach.

What pieces they put in place around Tagovailoa adds intrigue to each 2020 NFL Mock Draft. And, of course, there are 29 other picks to determine throughout the rest of the first round. So, as we head into Week 4 of the 2019 regular season and with four weeks of new college football tape to consider, let’s project the first round once again.

As always, the draft order for this NFL Mock Draft was determined by our latest NFL Power Rankings. Because of that, it is not necessarily in the order of current records and the final two picks are both AFC teams, which obviously is not possible come April’s actual NFL Draft.

With the particulars out of the way, we start with the No. 1 overall pick where the Dolphins, again, take Tua.
