2. Alvin Kamara gets 100 yards receiving and rushing

All eyes were on the quarterback last week and Bridgewater was even given the game ball following the Saints upset over Seattle. However, he wasn’t the best player on offense for New Orleans in that win.

That honor goes to Alvin Kamara, who had 69 yards and a touchdown on the ground and another 92 yards and a score through the air in Week 3. Those kinds of performances aren’t shocking at all with Kamara who has developed into one of the better playmakers in the game.

More from Dallas Cowboys

However, that wasn’t the case for him when the Cowboys and Saints played in 2018. The electric back was held to just 36 yards on 11 carries in that November meeting — with a long of seven yards on the night. In addition to slowing him on the ground, Dallas used a great plan when trying to stop him as a receiver as well.

Cornerback Jourdan Lewis (who is criminally under-utilized by Kris Richard) shadowed Kamara, who had only 36 yards on eight receptions. Lewis then got the interception that sealed the three-point win.

As impressive as that was for Dallas, don’t expect it to happen again. They won’t make it easy on him but Kamara will do everything he can to erase the performance from a season ago.

In this game, he will be heavily targeted in the passing game while also being the workhorse that keeps the chains moving. Should things go according to plan, Kamara could have his best game of the year by topping triple digits in both rushing and receiving yards.
