While byes begin in Week 4, the DraftKings NFL bargains and values are still ripe for the picking to help your DFS lineup win.

Every week, we’re going down the DFS fantasy football rabbit hole on Sundays to look at the best DraftKings NFL bargains and value picks across every position that you might want to include in your lineup. Week 4 is no exception as the first bye weeks of the 2019 season take place.

At the start of the week, the following players were ranked 12th at their positions: Matt Ryan ($5,900), Nick Chubb ($6,400), and Adam Thielen ($6,600). Ryan at home makes for a great start against anyone, Chubb is a steal at that price and Thielen is as consistent as they come.

The aim here is to find players who offer equal or better value at lower prices, allowing DFS players to get the high-priced studs they want to win with each week. Peruse this position-by-position breakdown to find value plays that yield a winning lineup.

Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford, DET (vs KC), $5,500: Stafford was listed as questionable but will play on Sunday with Patricia taking a page out of Bill Belichick’s injury report playbook.

Now that Stafford’s for sure playing he is a top-shelf start against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that gives up huge numbers in the passing game to teams trying to keep pace with their offense. Stafford would have posted bigger numbers against the Philadelphia Eagles last week if not for a kickoff return for a touchdown and a positive second-half game script for the Lions that took the ball out of his hands.

Jacoby Brissett, IND (vs. OAK), $5,400: Brissett loses a bit of luster with T.Y. Hilton unlikely to play. However, the Indianapolis Colts signal caller has a dual tight end threat in the form of Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle, who’ll both see a bump in usage.

Add in under-the-radar wideouts such as Parris Campbell and Deon Cain, and a juicy home match-up against an Oakland Raiders defense ranked among the league’s bottom third in passing yards, total yards, and points allowed, and Brissett is still well worth his price.

Daniel Jones, NYG (vs. WAS), $5,300: Unpopular opinion: there’s a bit of a risk associated with starting Jones, who transformed from a grotesque, hideous, widely-mocked option to a favorite son of the fantasy football industry in just one week. DFS players love the price, matchup and the floor his rushing ability brings, but those who expect miracle comebacks every week without Saquon Barkley in the fold should temper expectations a bit.

Meanwhile, fun fact: only two others in the storied history of planet Earth have enjoyed such an incredible ascent to glory in a period of four hours, and neither of them is an actual human: Cinderella and Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty.

Andy Dalton, CIN (at PIT), $5,200: Dalton entered Week 4 just 0.4 points away from being a Top Ten fantasy quarterback. He gets a juicy matchup against one of the league’s worst pass defenses to date. Tyler Eifert and Joe Mixon are healthy, and head coach Zac Taylor should be able to create plenty of mismatches for speedster John Ross and the dependable Tyler Boyd.

Josh Rosen, MIA (vs. LAC), $4,500: Don’t adjust your eyes, this is not a typo! If Daniel Jones can have a day against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then Rosen is certainly capable of yielding better than expected numbers against a decimated Los Angeles Chargers secondary, in garbage time or otherwise.

Rosen should be able to find blossoming rookie Preston Williams and the reasonably-healthy-for-once Albert Wilson for at least one touchdown connection. Who knows, maybe Mike Gesicki, the team’s freakishly athletic tight end, will finally ball out.
