18. Carolina Panthers (21)

Isn’t it amazing to think about how the Carolina Panthers only scored 16 points in Week 4, and still managed to come out with a win on the road over the Houston Texans?

Without question, the defense of the Panthers deserves all of the credit in the world to holding Deshaun Watson and the rest of the Texans’ offense to scoring just 10 points on Sunday.

Two weeks ago when Carolina was coming off a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this was a team that plenty of football fans had written off, and Cam Newton dealing with an injury didn’t make the situation any better.

But after watching Kyle Allen step up over the last two weeks to help the Panthers earn two wins to get back to .500 on the season, maybe there is hope for Carolina after all.

The good news for the Panthers is since it’s only been four games, there’s plenty of time for this team to continue piling up wins, and help make a case for a playoff spot in the NFC.

Some will point out that Allen failed to toss a single touchdown pass in the win over the Texans, but also look at some of the big throw by the Panthers quarterback on top of pulling out the win, which is really what matters the most.
