9. Detroit Lions (10)

Unfortunately for the Detroit Lions, Week 4 is going to be one of those games in which they look back on knowing the results could have been much different against the Kansas City Chiefs after all the missed opportunities.

While there were numerous occasions in which they Lions made it seem like they were going to escape with the win to make a statement, and remain undefeated, at the end of the day, Patrick Mahomes was simply too much for the defense to handle.

What made this loss even more frustrating for Detroit is the defense found a way to prevent the reigning MVP from throwing a single touchdown pass, yet Kansas City still found a way to put up 34 points.

On a positive note, if the Lions were looking to make a statement about having what it takes to be a playoff contender across the league, Sunday was the perfect example to show they can in fact compete with the best of teams.

Also, when looking at all of the uncertainty surrounding Matthew Stafford leading up to the contest due to the injury, it was great to see the former No. 1 pick complete three touchdown passes against the Chiefs.
