The Seattle Seahawks didn’t dominate the Arizona Cardinals, but they were able to walk out with a 27-10 win and advance to 3-1.

After losing to the New Orleans Saints last week, the Seattle Seahawks rebounded well against their divisional rival, the Arizona Cardinals. Except for a fourth-quarter scramble by Kyler Murray, Seattle kept Arizona out of the end zone.

It was hard to find duds in the one-sided win. Seattle played a well-balanced game on both sides of the ball. Jadeveon Clowney even intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown. So, keep in mind that I am nitpicking to find three duds this week.

With the 27-10 win and Los Angeles’ 55-40 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Seahawks are in the thick of a competitive NFC West race. The San Francisco 49ers are also in the mix at 3-0. The Seahawks and Rams will clash on Thursday Night Football this week.

Before we look ahead to Thursday, let’s acknowledge Seattle’s studs and duds from Week 4.

Stud: Mychal Kendricks LB

The Seahawks are missing their two leading sack artists from last season. Frank Clark was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs when a long-term deal couldn’t be reached and Jarran Reed is serving out a six-game suspension. The team did trade for Clowney, but the former Houston Texan only has one sack through the first four weeks.

Entering Week 4, the Seahawks had a total of five sacks. With the team struggling to challenge opposing quarterbacks, Kendricks made his presence felt against Arizona. The former Philadelphia Eagle brought Murray down twice on Sunday.

Dud: L.J. Collier DE

While he’s been banged up and hasn’t had many chances to perform, Collier is off to a noticeably slow start. While other rookies such as Nick Bosa and Brian Burns are already hunting quarterbacks, Collier hasn’t sniffed an NFL quarterback yet.

Seattle will take their time working Collier into the defensive rotation as the season progresses, but he hasn’t been effective up to this point.
