New York Jets (0-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)

Sunday, October 6, 1PM ET

Despite the optimism coming into the season, the New York Jets have been nothing short of a disaster through three weeks of action. Now, coming off their bye week, they’ll be hoping to turn things around against a very talent (albeit inconsistent) Philadelphia Eagles squad.

Unfortunately for the Jets, that’s not going to happen. Whether or not Sam Darnold is able to go after missing the last two games due to illness, New York simply doesn’t have the firepower or defensive prowess to keep the Eagles from running all over them on Sunday.

Maybe it’ll be Carson Wentz who shreds a susceptible New York secondary. Or maybe it’s the combination of Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders who bulldoze the Jets on the ground. No matter what approach the Eagles take in Week 5, there’s a very good chance it’s going to work well against one of the NFL’s most underwhelming teams.

The Eagles drew a great hand with the Jets matchup here in Week 5. They desperate need to get back on track after a sluggish start to the season. They earned respect by upsetting the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, and should walk away with the relatively easy win against the Jets.

Prediction: Eagles win 27-9
