Cleveland Browns (2-2) at San Francisco 49ers (3-0)

Monday, October 7, 8:15PM ET

If you’re looking for a Week 5 upset, your best bet may come on Monday night when the Cleveland Browns head to the Bay Area to take on the undefeated San Francisco 49ers. It should be one of the most exciting matchups of the week, with the Browns offering some serious shock potential.

Right now, the 49ers are all the buzz. They’re one of only three undefeated teams remaining, albeit coming off a bye week. However, if you look at the teams they’ve faced thus far, it’s not an impressive bunch. Their three opponents have a combined record of 3-9, and one of those wins (via the Steelers) came against the 0-4 team (the Bengals) that’s within that group.

Meanwhile, the Browns have now beaten the Ravens and almost took down the Rams a week earlier. Yes, there were some concerns about their contender potential earlier in the year, but Cleveland is just a late bloomer. All of their offensive playmakers are getting hot, and figure to have a field day against a San Francisco defense that is far from elite.

Whether Baker Mayfield gets going early or Nick Chubb rumbles all day long, I’m giving the edge to the Browns. Jimmy Garoppolo will do his best to keep it close, but the 49ers are in for a rude awakening on Monday night.

Prediction: Browns win 33-31
