12. Evans extends touchdown streak to three games
After a slow start to the year, Mike Evans has stepped up in a big way for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the last two weeks by combining for four touchdowns, three of which came in Week 3 against the New York Giants.
All of a sudden, Evans is playing at the high level fantasy football owners love to see, but most importantly, his level of play has helped the Buccaneers get back into the division race.
On Sunday, Evans and company will have another opportunity to keep the NFC South race interesting when Tampa Bay faces a familiar face in the New Orleans Saints, who are heating up as mentioned before with two tough wins in a row.
In order for the Buccaneers to have any fighting chance in this one, chances are Evans will need to come through with another big game on offense, especially if the defense struggles to keep the Saints out of the end zone.
Jameis Winston has never been shy about relying on his favorite receiver when needed, and there’s nothing Evans would love more than to see his touchdown streak extend to three games in a row.
Better yet, if this happens and the Buccaneers also find a way to knock off the Saints, it will make Evans feel even better.
