10. Cousins finally shines with five touchdown passes

Last season was filled with plenty of disappointments across the NFL, but it’s difficult to top the decision by the Minnesota Vikings to pay Kirk Cousins all that guaranteed money since his impact doesn’t even come close to the contract.

The fact that Minnesota failed to even secure a Wild Card spot in the NFC with all of the talent to work with shows how frustrating it was to watch the Vikings in 2018, and this year hasn’t been that much different.

Not only are the Vikings sitting at 2-2, but Cousins only has three touchdown passes to his name in four games, which is embarrassing when considering he has Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen to work with.

Until Cousins figures out a way to play at a higher level, it’s going to be difficult to consider Minnesota a legitimate playoff contender in the NFC, and put a ton of extra pressure on the Vikings moving forward.

On a positive note, Sunday’s game for Minnesota against the New York Giants could be exactly what Cousins needs to finally get the ball rolling on offense.

So if Cousins finally comes out firing to help silence some of the critics for at least one week, football fans shouldn’t see this as a surprise at all.
