9. Ertz catches first touchdown of 2019

No one needs to explain just how great of a tight end Zach Ertz has been for the Philadelphia Eagles throughout his career, and there’s no way the team wins the Super Bowl two years ago without him part of the picture.

In four games so far, Ertz has managed to haul in 24 catches for 255 yards, but the star tight end is still in search of that first trip into the end zone.

Obviously, there’s no reason for concern in Philadelphia since the offense is loaded with plenty of talent for Carson Wentz to work with, and the Eagles quarterback has done a fantastic job at spreading the football around.

But with a favorable matchup this weekend against a New York Jets team that has yet to even win a single game, this seems like the perfect opportunity for Ertz to record that first score.

The NFL is loaded with plenty of effective pass-catching tight ends, and Ertz has made a strong case for being one of the best in the league, especially after catching 116 passes in 2018.

With the Eagles having a few extra days of rest after playing on Thursday in Week 4, expect Wentz to take advantage of Ertz early on against the Jets to help Philadelphia be in the best position possible to earn that third win.
