18. Mariota sacked seven times

One week after Marcus Mariota suffered nine sacks during a brutal loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tennessee Titans deserve plenty of credit for making sure their beloved quarterback received the proper protection against the Atlanta Falcons.

Week 4 was the perfect example of what Mariota is capable of when given the necessary time on offense after the Oregon product threw three touchdown passes in the win over the Falcons to help the Titans get back to .500 on the year.

As for whether Mariota can continue this momentum heading into Week 5, all eyes will be on the Tennessee quarterback to see how the offensive line looks in what will be another difficult matchup against a solid defense in the Buffalo Bills.

The good news for the Titans is with Taylor Lewan returning from suspension, the offensive line should see an immediate boost right away to help Mariota receive the protection needed.

But if Lewan looks a bit rusty since it’s never easy to just jump right into the action, Mariota could be in for another one of those long games if the Bills’ defense is on top of their game.

Seven sacks sounds like a lot, but also possible after seeing the results of the Jaguars game from two weeks before, as previously discussed.
