NFL Week 5, 2019: 20 Bold predictions to consider
By Dan Parzych
16. Patriots shutout Redskins
Sunday seems like a dream matchup for the New England Patriots when looking at all the issues the winless Washington Redskins have been dealing with to start off the 2019 season since this should turn into an easy victory.
When looking at all of the head coaches currently on the hot seat, Jay Gruden already seems to be a likely candidate to be sent packing if the losses continue to pile up for the Redskins.
And while anything can happen on Sunday, the chances of Washington defeating New England seems like an absolute long shot, especially with the way the Patriots have been playing on defense.
Normally, New England is always viewed as a threat due to the fact that Tom Brady is always on a completely different level than most quarterbacks in the league, but the defense has looked unreal so far through four games.
Just how great have the Patriots been on the defensive side of the football? Looking back at Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills, this actually marked the first time all year the defense gave up a touchdown.
Playing at this high of a level for the remainder of the season will be easier said than done, but at least for Sunday’s meeting with the Redskins, a shutout for New England could very well happen.
