The Los Angeles Rams were embarrassed against Tampa Bay and now hope to bounce back on Thursday Night Football in Seattle versus the Seahawks.

When the Buccaneers went on the road to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, Sean McVay and his team probably weren’t expecting what transpired. Tampa Bay put forth a monstrous offensive effort and got the Rams in a bonafide shootout. With Rams quarterback Jared Goff giving the ball away far too many times, the Bucs prevailed and handed LA their first loss of the 2019 season.

The Rams, however, don’t have much time to lick their wounds. On Thursday Night Football in Week 5, Los Angeles heads to CenturyLink Field for a crucial NFC West matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. While Seattle has been up and down to start the year, they have been able to play the Rams closely in recent years.

So then, will LA be able to recover quickly from the loss and pick up a big win in the division? Let’s make five bold predictions for the Rams on Thursday to find out if that’s the case.

5. Goff bounces back with no interceptions, 3 TDs

Despite how productive Jared Goff can be, there is some merit to the notion that he should not be the primary focal point of the Rams offense. That was evident in the shootout with the Buccaneers last week.

In the disappointing home loss, Goff threw the ball 68 times and, while he threw for 517 yards, he also threw three interceptions and put the ball on the turf with a fumble as well. His turnovers undeniably were part of the Rams’ downfall in that game. Against the Seahawks, though, he’ll rebound in a big way.

Sean McVay is a master game-planner and there should be no doubt that he’ll have a better strategy to deploy Goff and the passing game, even if another shootout ensues. That will result in a turnover-less game for the quarterback while he also finds the end zone three times against a shaky Seattle secondary that lacks quality depth.
