Before the New England Patriots face off against the Washington Redskins in Week 5, here are three bold predictions for the Patriots entering the game.

As the 2019 NFL regular season continues to roll on, the New England Patriots will once again hit the road for Week 5 of the year this weekend. New England will look to continue its strong start to the 2019 campaign when it travels to the nation’s capital to face off against the struggling Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon in Washington D.C.

The Patriots have been one of, if not the best team, in the NFL through four weeks of action, not losing a game yet this season while starting the year off with a four-game winning streak going into Sunday’s contest against the Redskins.

With a perfect record going into the Week 5 slate of games, New England is coming off of a big 16-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 4 in a matchup between two of the top teams in the AFC East standings.

The Patriots defense put on a show once again in the contest while their offense was somewhat held in check for basically the first time all season.

Although New England gave up its first defensive touchdown to an opponent this season in the win, the Patriots were able to take the game the road to grab sole possession of first place in the AFC East while maintaining their perfect record going into Week 5.

New England enters the new week of the regular season sitting ahead of the Bills (3-1 overall), New York Jets (0-3) and Miami Dolphins (0-4) in the division standings.

On the other side of the field, Washington has gotten off to basically the exact opposite start to the year compared to the defending Super Bowl Champions. The Redskins are coming off of a 24-3 road loss to the New York Giants last Sunday in New York.

At 0-4 on the year, while still searching for its first win, Washington will get another tough test in Week 5 when the Patriots come to FedExField to take on a Redskins squad that has a lot of question marks early on in the season.

Before the game between Washington and New England gets underway this weekend in the nation’s capital, let’s make three bold predictions for the Patriots that will take place as they search for their fifth straight win to start the season.
