The first four weeks of the 2019 NFL season have come and gone. With Week 5 on the horizon, here are five trades that need to happen.

Four weeks into the 2019 NFL season, we are starting to get a clearer picture of the contenders and rebuilding teams throughout the league. Having said that, we have a murky picture of the league’s middle class. But with the NFL trade deadline looming, there is always room to add clarity to certain situations?

Which teams should make trades to help propel them into the postseason? Who should further their rebuild by trading away pieces? And which already established possible contenders should pull the trigger on going all in for a postseason run?

Entering Week 5 of the 2019 season, these are five NFL trades that make a great deal of sense that I believe should go down.

After a dominant win over division rival Baltimore in the Charm City, it seems like there finally might be some life for the Cleveland Browns after all. The Browns are currently in first place in the AFC North, despite a rocky 2-2 start. It’s time for general manager John Dorsey to add some more reinforcements.

The biggest concern for head coach Freddie Kitchens’ team is the offensive line. Center J.C. Tretter and left guard Joel Bitonio are the only reliable pieces on the line right now. Quarterback Baker Mayfield can scramble but he does a lot more damage from the pocket. He needs a reliable blindside protector. Luckily for Dorsey and Kitchens, one of the league’s best left tackles is seemingly available in Trent Williams.

Williams has not reported to the Redskins since last season over disagreements with the team’s medical staff and is said to want out of Washington. There are quite a few teams that could use his services, including a couple of potential playoff teams, but the Browns should charge hard after him. He would be a big boost to their team’s weakest area, and would allow their franchise quarterback to sleep a little easier at night.
