1. Chiefs stay perfect and look good doing it

Whenever I first looked at the point spread for this game, it was a bit jarring. Most people seem to believe that the Indianapolis Colts are a good team, even if they aren’t on the level of the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite that, Frank Reich‘s team opened as 11-point underdogs on the road in this matchup. As I pick games against the spread each weekend, this was the one that scared me.

In the 24-ish hours since those picks posted, though, I’ve become more confident in it. Everything about this Sunday Night Football matchup comes down to the Chiefs ultimately having the advantage. And at the end of the night, they’ll have not only covered the double-digit spread but will win this game by two touchdowns or more.

No one is stopping Mahomes and the Chiefs offense, not even the best defenses in the NFL. The Colts are not in that upper tier, though, and are playing without Darius Leonard and Malik Hooker, arguably the two stars of this Indianapolis defense. That spells awful news for what Kansas City can do to them.

At the same time, the Chiefs defense remains problematic — but the Colts just don’t have the firepower to match. As impressive as Brissett has been and with the solid weaponry around him, it’s still nearly impossible to imagine him going toe-to-toe with the Chiefs offense in a shootout. This one will be high-scoring but it won’t be close in the end as Kansas City moves to 5-0.
