NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Chiefs look mortal, Cowboys free fall

23. New York Giants (19)
The Daniel Jones victory train hit a bit of a snag as the rookie was unable to lead his team to a win at home against the Minnesota Vikings. Coming in on a two-game winning streak, Jones and the Giants offense was unable to get anything going. Already having to play without star running back Saquaon Barkley, the Giants then lost Wayne Gallman in this one.
That led to them moving the ball just 64 yards on the ground with 20 rushes. With all the pressure being on the rookie quarterback, he was just 21-of-38 with 192 yards. Jones managed just one touchdown and added an interception in the 18-point loss.
Defensively, the Giants had no answers for the run or pass. Kirk Cousins ended his struggles by throwing for 306 yards with two touchdowns while Dalvin Cook put up 132 yards on the ground. Adam Thielen was especially problematic for them as he had 130 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions.
Things won’t get much easier for them as they head to New England next week to play the defending champions. Winning there won’t be easy, especially for a team led by a young quarterback in Jones. Although, he has been much better than Eli Manning, which is a positive.
