10. Detroit Lions (9)

One of the biggest surprises of the season so far has been the play of the Detroit Lions. They entered Week 4 undefeated — although they did have a tie in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals.

They were expected to be brought back down to earth that week though as they were facing the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs. However, the Lions may have gained more respect in that one even though they did wind up losing.

The Chiefs won 34-30, but the Lions were tight with them throughout the game. In fact, they took the lead with less than two and a half minutes to go. Matthew Stafford hit Kenny Golladay from six-yards out to go up 30-27. Unfortunately for them, they allowed Patrick Mahomes and company to march down the field and take the lead with only 20 seconds to go.

Now on their bye week, the Lions can try and tweak a few things to continue their hot start. Head coach Matt Patricia has the defense playing better and they know the offense can put points up with players such as Stafford, Golladay, and Kerryon Johnson at their disposal. The only question is whether or not they can find a way to remain consistent, something that has been an issue in the past.
