7. Los Angeles Rams (7)

This season hasn’t been what the Los Angeles Rams have expected so far. They barely beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 — and Carolina hasn’t exactly been great.

They also had a one-score win over the Cleveland Browns despite the fact that Cleveland played terribly in that game. In between those wins, they had their only easy win of the year as they knocked off the New Orleans Saints 27-9 in the game where Drew Brees injured his hand and had to sit out the majority of the contest.

Still, they were 3-0 at that point, which meant they were at least getting the job done. That hasn’t been the case over the past two weeks as they are now on a two-game skid. What’s most frustrating is how they lost as their defense was torched by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4 and then couldn’t stop Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
In all, they surrendered 893 yards and 78 points in five days, as pointed out by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

It’s an ominous sign, but they’re still at least 3-2, and could have been 4-1 had it not been for a missed field goal at the end of the Thursday Night Football game by Greg Zuerlein.

His kick sailed wide, which could have erased the defensive struggles, but instead has them licking their wounds wondering how they can get things straightened out.
