5. San Francisco 49ers (3): Play on Monday Night Football vs. Browns

The San Francisco 49ers are off to a hot start as they won their first three games of the season. However, they have yet to really defeat a great opponent. Their biggest win came in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they knocked them off 31-17. Outside of that win, they have victories over the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers who have each been really bad this season.

That’s not meant as a knock on the 49ers by any means. They can only play the teams on their schedule and through the first quarter of the season, they’ve taken care of business. This week, they have one of their bigger tests to date as they play the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.

Entering this contest, Cleveland is 2-2 but they’re coming off their biggest win of the young season after beating the Baltimore Ravens on the road. They now look to make a statement against the undefeated Niners and head coach Kyle Shanahan who used to be the offensive coordinator for the Browns.

One advantage for the 49ers in the fact they will be at home. Another is them spending Week 4 on a bye, allowing for more prep time and rest for the game. That early bye will help now, but it’s not good overall as they now have a long time until they can get a break again. That should still help this week as they look to remain perfect on the year.
