26. Denver Broncos (29)

Well, the good news is they finally got a win. The Denver Broncos entered this week with a mark of 0-4 and things weren’t looking overly promising as they were on the road for a game with the Los Angeles Chargers who were 2-2. Still, they play the games for a reason as any team can pull off a win on any given Sunday — especially when facing a divisional rival.

For the Broncos, they had a complete game as they were all over Philip Rivers of the Chargers. The veteran quarterback dropped back to throw it 48 times and managed to gain just 211 yards despite completing 32 passes. The Broncos defense again has struggled to get sacks but they did generate some pressure and Rivers threw two picks with linebacker Alexander Johnson and safety Justin Simmons recording the takeaways.

The real story of the game was the Broncos rushing attack. Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman proved to be a two-headed monster with Lindsay going for 114 and a touchdown and Freeman adding 61 yards on just 13 carries.

Denver still has a long way to go but they did gain some momentum in this win while also throwing a wrench into the early-season plans of one of their rivals.
