GLENDALE, ARIZONA – SEPTEMBER 08: Wide receiver Damiere Byrd #14 of the Arizona Cardinals tries to break free of the tackle by Jamal Agnew #39 of the Detroit Lions after a catch during the second half of the NFL football game at State Farm Stadium on September 08, 2019 in Glendale, Arizona. 2. Damiere Byrd or KeeSean Johnson, WRs, Arizona

This one may be a bit tricky as it’s just going to rely on whether or not Damiere Byrd ends up playing or not. In regards to who to start over who, if both Byrd and KeeSean Johnson are active, then you’re going to want to pull the trigger on Byrd. If he’s out, then Johnson is going to be your man for the game in Week 6.

Although Johnson only brought in three of his seven targets this past week for 22 yards, the most important thing is that Kyler Murray is going to have to eventually dump the ball off to someone not named Larry Fitzerald or David Johnson with Christian Kirk still likely to miss time.

As the rookie signal-caller manages to get more comfortable running the Cardinal’s passing attack, the opportunity to claim a spot as a consistent fantasy football wide receiver will be there for whoever wishes to do the work and snag it. It’s just a question of which of the two — if any — it’ll be.

1. Zay Jones, WR, Oakland

Jon Gruden clearly saw something he liked in Zay Jones as the Raiders gave up a 2021 fifth-round draft pick on Monday in order to acquire him from the Bills. While Jones may have done little to nothing in Buffalo (see: only catching 7-of-18 targets for 69 yards) and may possess a distressingly low catch-rate (46.4 percent), Gruden clearly has something up his sleeve for the young receiver.

Likely to factor into the offense straightaway opposite Tyrell Williams out wide, the change of scenery and fresh start should hopefully be a good thing for Jones. Indeed, it may even provide him with just what he needs (see: a jump-starting kick to his rear end) in order to finally start producing at a respectable level for fantasy football owners.

All in all, with the Raiders bye this week he’s certainly worthy of a stash if you have the room and/or a need for more depth for your fantasy football team. Because he’s almost certain to be there as a waiver wire pickup.
