San Francisco 49ers (4-0) at Los Angeles Rams (3-2)
Sunday, October 13, 4:05PM ET
I’ll admit it — I was wrong about the San Francisco 49ers. I questioned them because they failed to take down a legitimate opponent during their first three games. After they slaughtered the Cleveland Browns on Monday night, they deserve to be taken seriously.
Jimmy Garoppolo is looking like the franchise quarterback the 49ers paid him to be. The San Francisco defense is playing like an elite unit. The ground game is nearly unstoppable, and even the special teams are pulling their weight. It’s all coming together for a squad that many labeled a sleeper coming into 2019.
As for the Los Angeles Rams, things haven’t been so hot as of late. They come into Sunday’s matchup having lost their last two, due in large part to inconsistent defensive efforts and inefficient play from Jared Goff. Sure, his numbers look great, but it’s not resulting in wins.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this was another blowout for the 49ers. I won’t go as far as predicting that, but it wouldn’t be a shock at all. Either way, San Francisco gets their fifth-straight win to start the year as they look to stay in control of the NFC West.
Prediction: 49ers win 34-26
