Tennessee Titans (2-3) at Denver Broncos (1-4)

Sunday, October 13, 4:25PM ET

Admittedly, this was a difficult one to decide for me. I thought the Tennessee Titans were going to take a step forward this season, but that’s been far from the case. And while the Denver Broncos’ record is one to scoff at, they haven’t been as bad as 1-4 would suggest.

It’s actually been a rather efficient season for the Broncos offense. Joe Flacco has put up respectable numbers, and Phillip Lindsay is again making life difficult for opposing defenses. If the Denver offensive line was better and Flacco had more weapons to work with, it would almost be conceivable to slap this offense with the “formidable” label.

On Sunday, though, it’ll be the Broncos’ defense that gets the job done. They’ve shown significant improvement from week to week, coming up big against the Los Angeles Chargers last week to secure their first win of the year. Now, it’ll be up to them again to make Marcus Mariota uncomfortable and keep Derrick Henry from rumbling his way to a win.

I believe the Broncos are up to the task. Expect a defensive battle here, with neither team scoring more than a touchdown or two. When the dust finally settles, Denver will have the lead and their second win in a row.

Prediction: Broncos win 17-13
