Houston Texans (3-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-1)

Sunday, October 13, 1PM ET

Maybe this is short-sighted of me, but I think the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 5 loss was a fluke. Yes, the Indianapolis Colts played a great game, but the Chiefs battled through a slew of injuries that ultimately cost the victory. That won’t happen in Week 6.

Patrick Mahomes may be a bit dinged up, but you better believe he’ll come out firing against the Houston Texans. Even if Sammy Watkins isn’t ready to go, there’s a good chance Tyreek Hill will be. That should provide the reigning MVP with the firepower needed to keep up with the Texans’ high-octane offense.

And while Houston may have put up a 50-burger against the Atlanta Falcons last week, they won’t have the same luck against Kansas City. Expect the Chiefs to get after Deshaun Watson all day long, taking advantage of his leaky offensive line and making life difficult for the third-year quarterback.

It’ll be close, as many games are with both of these clubs. In the end, though, a key turnover will be the difference for the Chiefs, who get back on track as they look to assert themselves as one of the AFC’s top dogs.

Prediction: Chiefs win 31-28
