2. Julian Edelman

Julian Edelman has been the top New England wide receiver throughout the first five weeks so far in 2019. On Thursday night in Week 6, he will have to emerge as the top reliable target that the Patriots have leaned on and the type of talent we’ve been used to seeing out of him throughout his career to this point.

Especially with a few wide receivers behind Edelman on the depth chart battling through some injuries that could limit them throughout the course of the matchup against the Giants, that will again be the case in primetime from Gillette Stadium

Josh Gordon has been dealing with a knee injury this week leading up to the game that has left him questionable for Thursday’s contest entering Wednesday. Gordon was limited in practice for New England on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Phillip Dorsett has been trying to battle through a hamstring injury that has also left him questionable for Thursday’s game coming into practice on Wednesday. Dorsett was the lone Patriots non-participant in practice on Tuesday.

Edelman, who has a total of 336 yards and two touchdowns receiving on 29 receptions coming into Week 6 on Thursday night, will need to have another big week and will need to step up for the Patriots while they square off against the Giants at home.
