1. Rams hand 49ers first loss of 2019

Between suffering two losses in a row on top of the fact that Todd Gurley has yet to see 20 carries in a single game, the concerns are beginning to pile up for the Los Angeles Rams entering Week 6.

After coming up short the way they did last winter by failing to score a single touchdown in Super Bowl 53 against the New England Patriots, the pressure was on the Rams entering the 2019 season to prove they could remain a top contender in the NFC.

Since it’s only been five games, there’s still plenty of time for Los Angeles to turn things around, and if they really wanted to make a statement over having what it takes to be a top contender, a win over the San Francisco 49ers would certainly do the trick.

Even though there were some doubters after the team’s first three games, the 49ers made a huge statement on Monday be defeating the Cleveland Browns to improve their record to 4-0 on the season.

In a way, this was the 49ers team that most football fans expected to see last year before Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a torn ACL, and while the Rams may still feel they deserve to be considered the team to beat within the division, San Francisco is making a strong case.
