1. Pittsburgh defeats Los Angeles 24-21

The Chargers just gave the Broncos their first win of the season. Los Angeles is far from the team that beat Pittsburgh in Week 13 last year. To be fair, Pittsburgh looks a lot different too. However, the limping Chargers are the perfect team for the Steelers to face in their current condition. This matchup is still winnable.

While it won’t be an easy win, the Steelers have the personnel to compete with the Chargers. Defensively, the Steelers have better defensive backs and linebackers than they did last year. On the other hand, Los Angeles’ offense is worse than last season and Rivers seems to be in for a rough campaign. The Pro Bowl quarterback was intercepted by the Broncos twice last week, and those are the only two interceptions Denver’s defense has this season.

The Steelers have a bye in Week 7, which means getting a win in Week 6 is perfect. Pittsburgh can carry that momentum into the bye week, work adjusting the offense so Jaylen Samuels isn’t throwing passes, and then go stomp on Miami in Week 8.

Again, this stretch is important because the Steelers face Indianapolis in Week 9 and the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. While Pittsburgh can defeat the Chargers, expecting to beat those other two teams is a stretch.
