Before the Minnesota Vikings host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6, here are three Vikings players that will have to step up and shine in the game.
After moving back above the .500 mark on the year last week, the Minnesota Vikings will head into Week 6 of the 2019 NFL regular season with another tough test early on in the campaign. The Vikings will return back home to US Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon to take on NFC opponent the Philadelphia Eagles in downtown Minneapolis.
Minnesota has performed well in two games in front of its home crowd this season, beating the Atlanta Falcons to open the year while breezing past the Oakland Raiders in Week 3 to hold a perfect 2-0 record on its home field coming into Week 6.
The Vikings will welcome in a team in the Eagles who are 1-1 on the road this year, taking down the Green Bay Packers for their lone road victory of the season thus far. In the sixth week of the 2019 campaign, Philadelphia will get a chance to improve on that record in Minnesota.
Minnesota comes into the game riding a high of taking down the New York Giants last week on the road in New York. The win pushed the Vikings to 3-2 on the season coming into the contest against the Eagles this week, still remaining near the bottom of the tough NFC North standings.
Minnesota comes into the contest tied with the Chicago Bears (3-2 overall) in the division while sitting behind the Detroit Lions (2-1-1) and Packers (4-1) at the top of the NFC North.
On the other sideline, Philadelphia comes into the game at US Bank Stadium after breezing past the New York Jets last week in Philadelphia. The win moved the Eagles back above the .500 mark on the year, much like the Vikings, improving to 3-2 overall going into Week 6.
Philadelphia is currently tied with the Dallas Cowboys (3-2) for first place in the NFC East division, remaining ahead of the Giants (2-3) and the Washington Redskins (0-5) in the division standings.
It will be interesting to watch to similar teams square off against each other on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis while both teams will look to move their winning streaks to two in a row at US Bank Stadium.
