The undefeated New England Patriots face an injury-riddled New York Giants team on Thursday in Week 6. Five bold predictions for the primetime matchup.

Talk about a mismatch on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. While the New York Giants are not as bad as many projected them to be now that rookie quarterback Daniel Jones has taken control of the offense, they are going up against an unbeaten New England Patriots team at Gillette Stadium that has them beat at almost every level.

To be clear, the Patriots are better than the Giants at every level even when New York is at full strength, which they are decidedly not for this game, particularly on offense. This short-handed offense now has to face what has been the best defense in the NFL while a bad defense must stop Tom Brady and a host of quality weapons. And they have to do it all on the road.

This could be a bloodbath on Thursday night in Foxborough. But how bad will the carnage be? Here are five bold predictions for the New York Giants vs. New England Patriots matchup to kick off Week 6.

5. Brady throws for over 400 yards, 4 scores

As a whole, the Giants defense has been quite bad. However, they’ve been particularly bad against the pass, giving up almost 300 yards per game to opponents while having some lackluster passing attacks that they’ve been up against. And on Thursday Night Football, they’re up against an all-time great in Tom Brady that is playing better than some might realize.

The 42-year old quarterback is averaging 281.8 yards per game on the season and has eclipsed 300 yards in three games already this season. On top of that, he has 10 touchdowns to just two interceptions on the year. It’s not been otherworldly but he certainly hasn’t fallen off the cliff that he allegedly will at some point.

And that fall won’t start against the Giants. Instead, he’ll submit his best game of the 2019 season yet. The New York secondary can’t match up with the Patriots weapons and Brady will find them all night long, topping 400 yards and hitting the four-touchdown mark for the game.
