With the New England Patriots defeating the New York Giants in Week 6 on Thursday, here are some studs and duds from the win for the Patriots.

As we approach the midway point in the 2019 NFL regular season, the New England Patriots appear to be unstoppable to kick off the year. The defending Super Bowl Champions have put together one fo the more impressive starts to the 2019 campaign around the league so far this year, and they continued that trend on Thursday night against the New York Giants.

To kick off action in Week 6 of the NFL schedule, the Patriots hosted the Giants in front of a national audience on Thursday Night Football. New England remained perfect on the season following the contest, breezing past New York 35-14 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

In the game on Thursday at home against the Giants, the Patriots jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back for the remainder of the contest. New England got out to a 7-0 lead after the first quarter at home in Foxborough, extending that lead to 21-14 going into halftime against New York.

While both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter out of halftime, the Patriots pulled away for good late, tallying 14 points in the fourth quarter to stretch the game out to a 21-point advantage at the conclusion.

With the win, New England improved to an undefeated record of 6-0 on the season in the victory and still sits atop the AFC East standings ahead of the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins in the division.

With the loss, New York has now dropped two straight games after losing to the Minnesota Vikings at home a week ago in Week 5 of the regular season. The Giants now sit at 2-4 overall, dropping to 1-2 on the road this season.
