1. The Saints beat the Jags by more than 10 points

This one might seem a little bit obvious but hasn’t been the Saints’ strong-suit this season. Against the Jaguars, I predict that the Saints will win by more than 10 points. It might not sound like a lot but the Saints have not been winning by a lot, despite their 4-1 record to begin the 2019 season.

The Saints haven’t been beating teams by as much as we hoped as comes with the loss of Drew Brees. They beat the Cowboys by two, the Bucs by seven and the Seahawks by six. New Orleans isn’t exactly putting up huge numbers. Rather, they’re doing what they need to win which isn’t always bad. Considering that we’re used to them putting up such monster numbers, though, it’s definitely a departure from the norm.

As for the Jaguars, they have yet to lose by 10 points. Similar to the Saints, they’re winning by just a few points. As great as the Saints defense has been playing, besting the Jaguars by 10 points should be a breeze. If Teddy Bridgewater plays as he did last week, then the Saints are in good shape for Week 6.

While the Saints might not have Brees, they’re showing that not everything is reliant on them having a future HOF-er at the helm. Having Brees does help but it’s still worth mentioning that the Saints are racking up the wins. It puts them in even better shape for when Brees comes back.
