Tight Ends

The top-priced tight end on the menu this week is Travis Kelce, who’s never a bad start, but not necessarily a great one given his $7,000 price. Anyone who believes that it’s turn to have a week like Sammy Watkins (Week 1), Demarcus Robinson (Week 2), or Byron Pringle (Week 5) should open up the checkbook for the All-Pro this weekend.

George Kittle SF (at LAR, $5,200): The 49ers caught the league’s attention with over 200 yards rushing last week; so things should open up significantly for Kittle this week, allowing him to do some serious damage. Kittle projects to perform as well as or better than Kelce and the $1,600 savings can be put towards a top-tier running back or wide receiver.

Austin Hooper ATL (at ARI, $5,000): The Cardinals’ futility towards defending tight ends is not exactly a well-kept secret among the DFS community. As the No. 1 ranked tight end in terms of points per game on DraftKings, Austin Hooper is therefore a very chalky play this week, and understandably one that some will avoid. However, his upside here is undeniable and far too tempting to write off.

Will Dissly SEA (at CLE, $4,900): Dissly is currently a top five fantasy tight end on DraftKings, and he enjoys a favorable matchup against the Browns. He continues to enjoy a large portion of the target share in the passing game and has been highly efficient, hauling in 23 of 26 targets. Give him some run this weekend.

Jimmy Graham GB (vs. DET, $4,000): Matt LaFleur’s offense typically features the tight end, and Graham has seen more action so far this season than he has in a while. With Davante Adams expected to miss this week’s game with a toe injury, Graham should see plenty of targets.

Two lower-priced options for those on a stricter budget are Gerald Everett (vs. SF, $3,600) and Jeremy Sprinkle (at MIA, $2,600), the latter of whom has played well in spot duty and should see an increase in volume in a great matchup as a result of injuries to Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis.

Additionally, Hayden Hurst (vs. CIN, $3,200) is someone to watch as Mark Andrews continues to be held back by a bum wheel, and Hunter Henry (vs. PIT, $3,600) is a must-start if he plays this week.
