OT. Miami Dolphins. Alex Leatherwood. 17. player. 59.

Pick via Texans

There really isn’t a part of the Miami Dolphins right now that doesn’t need some kind of help. Having said that, the offensive line in South Beach is one of the most concerning aspects of the roster. Putting Tua Tagovailoa — or even Josh Rosen again — behind this line as currently constructed in 2019 would be downright irresponsible on the part of the organization. They look to change that, though, with the pick owed to them by the Texans.

Alex Leatherwood was largely waiting his turn at Alabama, playing guard behind veteran starters like Jonah Williams. Now finally moving to tackle in Tuscaloosa, he’s performed exceptionally well, displaying the pass-blocking and run-blocking blend that some Crimson Tide tackles before him did not possess at the college level. He’d be a fantastic building block for the Dolphins line and complete a trio of first-round picks from Bama for this team.

28. . CB. Las Vegas Raiders. Kristian Fulton. 18. player

Pick via Bears

The Raiders going to London in Week 5 and toppling the Chicago Bears was doubly important. For one, they were able to continue proving that they’re better than people expected them to be this year, moving to 3-2 on the season. Moreover, though, the Bears loss ultimately worsens their first-round pick in the 2020 draft, which is owed to Oakland as part of the Khalil Mack trade. The Raiders, thus, take advantage.

Kristian Fulton from LSU kicks off a run of cornerbacks in the back-half of the first round. While he may get outshined by true freshman Derek Stingley Jr. at times, Fulton should not be overlooked. He was the better of the duo between him and Greedy Williams last season and has the length, speed and ball skills teams look for at the position. He’d be a tremendous addition to a defense that needs reinforcements in the secondary.
