Tua Tagovailoa. 1. player. 59. . QB. Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa is going to be the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft barring quite unforeseen circumstances. No matter who ends up with the first pick, they will either take the Alabama quarterback or get a king’s ransom from a team looking to trade up and grab him. What has been called into question more lately is if it will actually be the Miami Dolphins with the top selection. They have challengers nowadays.

For now, however, it’s hard to see any team being worse than the Dolphins. And though they have Josh Rosen in house following a 2019 draft day trade, they need to get their absolute guy and build the now down-to-the-studs roster around him. Tagovailoa can be that guy with unbelievable accuracy, polished decision-making and checking every box that you want from a potential franchise quarterback.

30. . EDGE. New York Jets. Chase Young. 2. player

The New York Jets are a complete disaster right now on both sides of the football. While having Sam Darnold return and not Luke Falk starting at quarterback will help matters, what it doesn’t address is an offensive line that is among the worst in the NFL right now or a defense that couldn’t stop a cold right now. Thus, they have their pick of the best player available with the No. 2 pick in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

Gang Green welcomes Chase Young to the Big Apple. It’s been a near eternity since the Jets had a game-changing edge pass rusher on their defense and they are severely lacking in that department right now. Young changes that. The Ohio State star is an absolute juggernaut off the edge, blending speed, explosiveness and power to form perhaps the best overall player in the class.
