The Dallas Cowboys were embarrassed in Week 6 as they were unable to beat the winless New York Jets. Here were the standouts, good and bad, in the shocking loss.

This was one that not many saw coming. After losses to the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, the Dallas Cowboys had a good opponent to try and stop the bleeding against. Facing the 0-4 New York Jets, they were supposed to be able to score a victory, and with the Eagles losing in the early window they would have been all alone in first place in the NFC East.

The Jets had other plans as they raced out to a 21-3 lead. A 62-yard field goal by Dallas at the half helped them gain some momentum but they spent the entire game playing catch up and never got there.

In the end, they lost 24-22 to fall to 3-3 on the season. They’re still tied for first in their division but things feel rather bleak at the moment.

With all that being said, let’s look back over the game and see which players stood out in our weekly studs and duds.

Notable Omission

Robert Quinn continues to be a star for Dallas and racked up two more sacks this week against New York. That gives him five on the season, which is impressive considering he missed the first two games of the year. He’s also doubled up DeMarcus Lawrence, who was held in check again today and still has just 2.5 sacks on the season.

It hasn’t been the start Lawrence expected. After signing his $105 million contract, he was ready to make some noise in 2019. Unfortunately, he has yet to do that. This week seemed to be a good time for that to happen as the New York offensive line has had their share of issues. That makes this feel like a wasted opportunity for Tank.

Brett Maher is another player to mention. He drilled a 62-yard kick right before the half but sent a 41-yarder wide in the second half. That miss came back to haunt them as they ultimately lost by just two points.
